In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Technical University of Munich, we are pleased to invite you to our symposium on “Digital Medicine.” Held on the campus of the University Hospital rechts der Isar, we will discuss the latest developments and future perspectives in medical informatics alongside national and international experts.
Digital Medicine can significantly contribute to ensuring that every doctor, patient, and researcher has access to the information they need. This enables personalized diagnosis and treatment decisions, generates new insights for effective and sustainable disease management, and enhances medical care.
Through its Medical Informatics Initiative (MII), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) provides crucial impetus to leverage the opportunities of digitization in medicine for healthcare and research. A central element of this initiative is the establishment and networking of data integration centers by four nationwide consortia. These consortia develop IT solutions for specific applications aimed at facilitating cross-location exchange of research and healthcare data.
DIFUTURE is one of these consortia, proudly involving the Technical University of Munich, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich with their university hospitals, the University of Tübingen with its hospital, and other partners. In November, we will introduce DIFUTURE and, as part of the 150th anniversary of the Technical University of Munich, discuss the latest developments and future perspectives in medical informatics at our symposium.
