Cooperation between MIRACUM and DIFUTURE

MIRACUM and DIFUTURE have joined forces to achieve the goals of the Medical Informatics Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) even more effectively. This initiative, which was launched five years ago, supports four consortia – DIFUTURE, HiGHmed, MIRACUM and SMITH – that are working together to pool patient-related clinical data. This not only serves to improve research, but also raises patient care to a new level.

With the start of the second funding period in 2023, MIRACUM and DIFUTURE have intensified their collaboration. This was a logical step, as both consortia have already pooled their resources and organised joint events in the past. The geographical proximity of many locations and the thematic overlaps in their projects have facilitated this collaboration. In addition, personal relationships and common goals have driven this process forward.
