Since 2023, the MIRACUM and DIFUTURE consortia have been publishing a joint journal, originally known as the MIRACUM-DIFUTURE Journal. With the 2025 edition, it became the One MII Journal – a joint publication of all four consortia of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII): DIFUTURE, MIRACUM, HiGHmed and SMITH.

The journal highlights key MII developments, including use cases, progress in the establishment of the Data Integration Centers (DIC), the use of the Research Data Portal for Health (FDPG) and integration into national and European structures such as the Network of University Medicine (NUM) and the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Under the motto “Using data”, the journal shows how the MII contributes to improving medical research and care.
