External event series: “Insight eHealth”

Call for applications for the event series “Insight eHealth”

The BMBF-funded project “Insight eHealth” in the Future eHealth funding priority invites committed master’s students and early doctoral candidates from computer science, biometrics, epidemiology, bioinformatics and medical informatics as well as related medical disciplines to become part of an innovative series of events. Insight eHealth combines theory and practice with interdisciplinary exchange at the interface of STEM and medicine.

Aim of the event series:
The two-year lecture series provides in-depth specialist knowledge and practical skills for a career in the forward-looking eHealth sector. The program is divided into four thematic blocks (process and project management in healthcare, data acquisition and semantic integration, data discovery and data processing, complex data analysis) and includes specialist lectures, interactive exercises and face-to-face events.

Course format:
The lectures take place every two weeks during the semester. Each subject block extends over one semester with 6-7 units and accompanying exercises. The program concludes with a 1-2 day face-to-face event – e.g. as part of the GMDS annual conference or DMEA – for the practical application of what has been learned and for networking.

Target group:
The program is aimed at

  • Students and early doctoral candidates from the above-mentioned disciplines
  • Persons with an interest in interdisciplinary work and initiative
